Adult Faith Formation - Events/Activities

"RCIA" is an acronym for Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults, which is also the title of the book that details the process an adult engages in as he or she journeys in faith toward initiation into the Roman Catholic Church through the sacraments of Baptism, Confirmation and First Communion. The process begins with a period of inquiry for people who feel moved to find out about the Christian faith. If you would like to hear more on this, please contact Amy Ford at 563-6038. Thank you.

RCIA gatherings will begin on Wednesday, October 4th at 7pm in the parish center. Since, as Catholics, we are a pilgrim people, all parishioners are welcome to attend.

Adult Education Opportunity: Dr. John Bernier, a well known scripture presenter from Maine, will give a series of talks on the Book of Revelation. He is presenting in two parishes: St. Charles in Brunswick and Holy Martyrs in Falmouth. For registration information call Joan Moore (Brunswick) 721-9416 or Deacon Dennis (Falmouth) 781-4573.

Adult Learning Opportunity: Anyone wishing to learn more about their faith has an opportunity to do so through an on-line distance learning program from the University of Dayton, Ohio. The Diocese of Portland is in partnership with the University of Dayton, therefore the cost of each course is reduced. Please see Amy for more information.
