Adult Faith Formation - Events/Activities

"RCIA" is an acronym for Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults, which is also the title of the book that details the process an adult engages in as he or she journeys in faith toward initiation into the Roman Catholic Church through the sacraments of Baptism, Confirmation and First Communion. The process begins with a period of inquiry for people who feel moved to find out about the Christian faith. If you would like to hear more on this, please contact Amy Ford at 563-6038. Thank you.

RCIA gatherings are held on Wednesday evenings, beginning at 7pm alternating between St. Patrick and Our Lady Queen of Peace. Please contact Sam or Ann Lombardo at 633-4433 for more information.

Theology of the Body Christopher West is a fellow of the Theology of the Body Institute and holds visiting faculty appointments at Creighton University in Omaha and the John Paul II Institute for Marriage and Family in Melbourne, Australia. His books include Good News About Sex & Marriage, Theology of the Body Explained, and Theology of the Body for Beginners. Christopher's ability to present John Paul II's profound insights in a language everyone can understand has helped create an international groundswell of interest in the Theology of the Body and made Christopher one of the most sought after speakers in the Church today.

At 7pm on the fourth Tuesday of the month, adults are welcome to gather at the Parish Center to discuss the Theology of the Body by first watching a Christopher West DVD in his series called Created and Redeemed, which focuses on the universal message of John Paul II's work. A study guide accompanies the series that continues at the November gathering with a talk entitled, Redeemed as Male & Female: Christ Restores God's Plan.
